China United Telecommunications Corporation Ltd is one of two main domestic mobile operating companies in China. Its main businesses are telecommunications investment and mobile communications services. The company is establishing its 3G telecommunications network after having being granted a 3G operating license in 2006.

China United Telecommunications has an established 2.75G telecommunications network in Shanghai and as soon as delivery of 3G service is permitted, the company will enter that business. The company cooperates with CCTV providing mobile TV services and wireless new media services such as mobile television broadcasting for the 2008 Olympics.
