Sichuan Electric Becomes Largest Shareholder

On 3 Nov 2008, Sichuan Electric Power Co., Ltd. (SEPC), the company's second largest shareholder, acquired 16,324,000 shares of the company, equal to a 4.99999799% stake, previously held by Meishan Asset Management Co., Ltd., via the trading system of the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Following the transaction, SEPC has increased its holdings in the company from 32,817,563 shares, a 10.05% stake, to 49,141,563 shares, equal to a 15.05% stake, becoming the company's largest shareholder, while Meishan Asset has reduced its stake in the company from 5.64% to 0.64%.
