On 31 Oct 2008, the company received a notice from the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shenzhen Municipal Government, the company's controlling shareholder, stating that it has acquired 1.2 mln shares of the company, equal to a 0.24% stake, at RMB 4.09 per share through the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, as a part of its plan to increase its stake in the company by up to 5% in the next 12 months (previous acquisitions included).

Prior to the aforementioned acquisition, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shenzhen Municipal Government and parties acting in concert with it held a total of 114,596,840 shares of the company, equal to a 22.59% stake, among which the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shenzhen Municipal Government held 93,290,684 shares or a 18.39% stake, Shenzhen Changcheng Investment Holding Co., Ltd. held 16,806,756 shares or a 3.31% stake and Shenzhen Zhiyuan Investment Co., Ltd. held 4,499,400 shares, or a 0.89% stake.

Following the acquisition, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shenzhen Municipal Government and parties acting in concert with it hold a total of 115,796,840 shares of the company, equal to a 22.83% stake.

The State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Shenzhen Municipal Government committed not to sell shares of the company it holds while implementing its stake increase plan and during the statutory period.
