RMB 300 Mln Loan Guaranteed for Subsidiary

According to a proposal approved at the 17th Meeting of the 6th Board of Directors, the company plans on participating in a two-year RMB 300 mln loan with Bank of China for Shanxi Datang International Yuncheng Power Generation Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the company. Relevant guarantee contracts are yet to be signed. This issue will be submitted to the 1st 2008 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders for examination.

As of 30 Jun 2008, the company has provided a total of RMB 11,398,670,000 worth of guarantees (to be audited), all of which were for its subsidiaries, joint ventures and affiliates. Currently, there are no guaranteed loans in arrears.
