As of 30 Sept 2008, RMB 6,498,141,000 worth of China Merchants Bank Convertible Bonds (securities code: 110036) were converted into tradable shares; 5,222 shares were converted in the third quarter of 2008. Accumulated shares converted from bonds have totaled 1,043,676,996, including bonus shares. At present, RMB 1,859,000 of China Merchants Bank Convertible Bonds, equal to 0.03% of total outstanding convertible bonds, have yet to be converted.

Currently, the number of tradable A-shares outstanding has increased to 7,245,946,023 from 7,245,940,801. The company's total shares outstanding has risen to 14,707,179,277 from 14,707,174,055.
