Guangxi Guiguan Electric Power Co. Ltd is mainly engaged in the generation and transmission of power in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. It has five subsidiaries including four hydropower plants, Pingban, Dahua, Bailongtan and Letan, and one thermal power plant Heshan. The company has an installed capacity of 2.77 million kilowatts, and supplies 100% of its electrical power to Guangxi Grid, which accounts for 10% of the total sales volume of Guangxi Grid. The company is at present the biggest hydropower subsidiary of China Datang Corporation. Guangxi Guiguan was the first private hydropower enterprise in China and, with its electricity generation facility of 0.1 million tons located at the valley of the Panjiang Hongshui River, it is one of the biggest three hydropower suppliers in China.

China Datang Corportation aims to double Guangxi Guiguan's installed capacity through asset expansion.
