Acquisition of Shenzhen Nanshan Power Finalized

The company has announced that it has acquired Shenzhen Nanshan Power Co., Ltd. in compliance with the requirements of relevant laws and regulations.

Concurrently, trading in shares of Shenzhen Nanshan has been halted as it had been involved in a significant matter, likely the aforementioned acquisition, including the wind-up of its share listing.

The company's listing, undertaken in August 2006 but not approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission until 14 Sept 2007, was the first listing of a state-owned enterprise in Shenzhen and the first of a domestic electric power enterprise, which was of huge significance in the industry.
