Tianjin Binhai Energy & Development Company is principally engaged in the generation of electricity, steam power and related consulting services covering 33 square kilometres in the Tianjin development zone. The company is the only heat products provider in the Bohai zone and operates one major subsidiary, which is involved in the generation of thermoelectricity, as well as the production and sale of power generation equipment and spare parts.

The company was formerly known as Tianjin Beacon Paint Co. Ltd which was mainly engaged in the production and sale of paint products. Following a major asset restructuring, the company has become a power and thermoelectricity market leader in the Tianjin development zone.
