As of 30 Sept 2008, conversion rights have been exercised on RMB 1.8 bln worth of 'Baotou Steel Convertible Bonds' (code: 110010), equal to 99.922% of the original issuance, resulting in 713,131,484 new shares. In the third quarter alone, bond conversions added 19,538 shares to the company's total shares outstanding. At present, RMB 1.4 mln worth of 'Baotou Steel Convertible Bonds' remain unconverted, equal to 0.078% of the original issuance.

Including the aforementioned 19,538 shares, there are now 6,423,361,318 total shares outstanding, of which 3,702,991,462 are restricted and 2,720,350,318 are tradable.
