RMB 300 Mln Guarantee Approved

At the 17th Meeting of the 6th Board of Directors, held on 24 Sept 2008, the following proposals were examined and approved:

1. to provide a RMB 300 mln joint liability guarantee to finance Shanxi Datang International Yuncheng Power Generation Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the company
2. to alter the company's registered capital to RMB 11,780,037,578 and revise the Articles of Association

The company plans to convene its 1st 2008 Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on 11 Nov 2008, at which the aforementioned proposals will be examined and considered for approval.
