In response to a report on 23 Sept 2008 asserting that carcinogenic sodium nitrite were found in the products of the company, and following discussions with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC, the Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of Guizhou Province and other relevant government authorities, the company hereby announces that its products have not been contaminated.

The company will retain its right to sue relevant media and persons.

The Shanghai Securities News and the website of the Shanghai Stock Exchange (www.sse.com.cn) are the company's designated media for information disclosure.
