The company saw a 12.9% YOY increase in goods throughput to reach 6.14 mln tons in August 2008. Chiwan Port and Mawan Port achieved a container throughput of 0.57 mln TEU (Twenty-foot Equivalent Units), down 2.2% YOY, of which Chiwan Port reached 395,000 TEU, down 1.3% YOY. Chiwan Port's groceries throughput hit 746,000 tons, up 34.2% YOY.

The total goods throughput of the company as of August 2008 was 43.85 mln tons, an increase of 12.6% from a year earlier. Chiwan Port and Mawan Port together achieved a container throughput of 4.18 mln TEU, up 7.1% YOY, of which Chiwan Port hit 2.96 mln TEU, up 6.1% YOY. Chiwan Port's total groceries throughput reached 5.26 mln tons, up 34.2% YOY.

In addition, as of the end of August 2008, a total of 60 international container lines called at the company's ports.
