On 1 Sept 2008, the company was notified by Sanyou Alkali Industry Co., Ltd., the controlling shareholder of the company, that Sanyou Alkali had pledged 20 mln restricted shares of the company, equal to a 2.13% stake, to Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd., effective 28 Aug 2008 until the pledge release date by Sanyou Alkali. Relevant procedures were completed with the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation, Shanghai branch on 28 Aug 2008.

Currently, Sanyou Alkali holds a total of 471,277,648 shares of the company, equal to a 50.18% stake, with 392,061,296 restricted shares, accounting for 41.75% of total shares outstanding.
