On-grid Electricity Price Increases

According to a notice from the National Development and Reform Commission, the rate of on-grid electricity generated by thermal power plants in China will increase on average by RMB 0.02 per kWh and the rate of on-grid electricity generated by thermal power plants in Guangdong Province will increase on average by RMB 0.025 per kWh, effective 20 Aug 2008. The specific price increase will depend on local coal prices.

The company has yet to receive official notice from relevant authorities in Guangdong. Thus, the price increase of on-grid electricity generated by the power plants of the company is uncertain. The company will disclose further information in a timely manner upon receiving relevant notices.

The increase will have a positive impact on the operations of the company's power plants.
