On 12 Aug 2008, the company was notified by the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited, Shanghai branch, that Xining Special Steel Co., Ltd., the controlling shareholder of the company, had pledged 84.27 mln restricted shares of the company, equal to a 11.37% stake, to China Construction Bank, Chengbei branch in Xining City.

The record date of the pledge is 12 Aug 2008.
