On 24 Jul 2008, the first batch of major Airbus 320 parts carried by China COSCO successfully arrived at the Tianjin Port in China.

On 24 Jun 2008, the parts were successfully delivered from the Airbus plant and loaded on the COSCO Seattle cargo ship on 26 Jun 2008, to began their voyage from the Hamburg Port arriving at the Tianjin Port on 24 Jul 2008. Consequently, the first batch of the major parts was delivered to the Tianjin Airbus assembly lines located within the Tianjin Airport Free Trade Zone.

The project requires the transportation of 284 Airbus 320 aircraft parts from the end of 2007 to 2015.

The Airbus project is a typical full-scale logistic service with a variety of services, consisting of great technical challanges. China COSCO has played an import role by combining its local and overseas logistics and shipping resources in its bid for the project and has consequently provided successful shipping services and organizational support.
