Chengdu Baosteel Can Making Co. Ltd, capitalized by Baosteel Group, recently celebrated its launch. Chengdu Baosteel Can Making, with an annual yield of 460 mln cans, signals Baosteel's first steel products processing base in western China.

With a total investment of RMB 330 mln, Chengdu Baosteel Can Making will mainly supply cans to beverage manufacturers including Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Snow Breweries and Yanjing Beer. As demand rises, Chengdu Baosteel Can Making can increase its annual capacity to 600 mln cans through investment increases and technological upgrades.

It has been learned that Baosteel Group plans to invest an additional RMB 25 mln in technological upgrades at Chengdu Baosteel Can Making in order to increase its annual capacity by 140 mln cans.
