Power Generation Down 0.41% YOY in 1H 2008

The company announced today according to preliminary statistics,that as of 30 June 2008, Gezhouba Power Station, the company's subsidiary, has generated electricity of approximately 6.93 bln kwh for 1H 2008, increasing 11.12% YOY. In addition, the Three Gorges Power Station has generated 27.75 bln kWh, of which about 10.21 bln kWh, a 7.01% YOY reduction, will be available for distribution by the company. For 1H 2008, the company's total electricity generating capacity is around 17.14 bln kWh, equal to a 0.41% YOY reduction.
