The company is the largest alumina and a primary aluminium operator in China. It is actively developing resources overseas while preliminary working on its bauxite resource development projects in Australia, Vietnam and other countries are going on smoothly. According to its overall strategy, the company is aiming to become a multinational aluminium company, in which aluminium and energies are integrated for joint production and operation, while the upstream and downstream industry chains are closely linked and developed in coordination. Its strategic positioning is to produce a complete industry chain of mining, milling, smelting and aluminium processing. The company plans to build and develop several aluminium industry bases in China, and to top the world's industry in its production of alumina and primary aluminium.

The company's stock price oscillates continuously at its low, with an increasing turnover. On 11 July 2008, it rebounded moderately to get close to a MA of 30.
