On 30 April Hua Xia Bank Co. Ltd (600015) announced its 1Q 2008 Report. In 1Q 2008, the bank posted RMB 821.61 mln in net profit with a 80.43% YOY growth and RMB 0.20 in EPS.

As of 31 Mar 2008, total assets of Hua Xia Bank were RMB 597.97 bln, increasing by 0.95% in comparison with that at the end of 2007 while rate of return on equity was 5.93%, presenting a 56.05% YOY growth. Income generated from interest was RMB 8.16 bln, 83.32% more than that in 1Q 2007, which was mainly due to growth in the loan business. Income from fees and commissions were RMB 242 mln, growing by 88.10% YOY.
